Why Serve for a Good Turn?

Inverness Country Club members Pete and Cindy Hodo, joined by their daughter, Cierra Hodo Rodriguez, founded For A Good Turn Foundation in September 2023. For A Good Turn cultivates a community where kindness is contagious. For a Good Turn champions the ‘pay it forward’ philosophy, realizing that one specific and intentional good deed at a time can set off a chain reaction of generosity, positivity, and perseverance.

Inspired by Peter Thomas Hodo IV, (1993-2014) For A Good Turn Foundation is devoted to creating a culture where kindness is contagious. Thomas’ random acts of kindness to others – often strangers – during immediate times of need is a gift that can be honored and activated with intention. A traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivor of three years, Thomas continued to help people in need during his recovery and his perseverance to graduate from high school in 2014 at the age of 21. Thomas was an avid, passionate car driver – hence the dual meaning of the foundation name: For A Good Turn.

Together, we can create ripples that turn into positive lasting waves of change, transforming lives one good turn at a time.

Special thanks to our business partners for making Serve For A Good Turn a hit with the players.
